Decorative Scented Candles

A candle is the smallest change that makes the biggest difference to an evening. Our decorative scented candles are chosen to work alongside the rest of your calm corner, with glass jar designs that look considered on a shelf and fragrances that settle a room rather than overpower it. Light one beside a Buddha statue or a singing bowl and the space becomes somewhere you actively want to sit. Simple pleasures, done properly.

Glass Jar Scented Candles for Mindful Evenings at Home

Candlelight has accompanied meditation and quiet ritual across every tradition for a simple reason, as the warm flicker of a flame gives the eye a natural resting point and signals to the body that the day is winding down. Our decorative scented candles come in glass jar designs that suit the calm, natural aesthetic of the rest of our collections, with fragrances selected to complement rather than dominate a room. Burn time and care follow a few simple principles that dramatically improve any candle. On the first burn, allow the wax pool to reach the edges of the jar, which prevents tunnelling and extends the candle's total life considerably. Trim the wick to around five millimetres before each burn for a clean, even flame without smoke. Position candles away from draughts, which cause uneven burning, and always on a stable surface away from anything hanging above. Many customers pair a candle with an evening ritual, lighting it at the same moment each day, beside a bath, before reading, or during meditation, letting the association build until the scent itself begins the calm.

Frequently asked questions

What wax do you use?
Paraffin wax for a clean, steady burn, set in frosted glass jars with dried botanicals arranged around the glass rather than mixed into the wax, so the jar stays beautiful as the candle burns down.
What scents are in the range?
Nature-led fragrances such as Wildlight Woods and Seabreeze, in medium and tall jars from £10 to £21.
Any burning tips?
Let the first burn melt the wax pool to the jar edge to prevent tunnelling, and trim the wick to about 5mm each burn. The jars suit living rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms.
Can I reuse the jar?
Yes. Once finished, freeze the jar for an hour, pop out the wax remnant, wash, and you have a frosted glass storage jar or tealight holder.
