An oil burner works through gentle heat, with a tealight below warming a small bowl of water and essential oil above, releasing fragrance slowly and evenly rather than in one artificial burst. Our Buddha oil burners are all compatible with both essential oils and wax melts, and the ritual of lighting one takes under a minute. Fill the top bowl most of the way with water, add three to five drops of oil, light an unscented tealight beneath and let the warmth do the rest. A single session lasts as long as the tealight, typically around four hours. For evening calm, lavender and sandalwood are the classics, while citrus oils lift a room in the morning. Safety matters with any flame, so place your burner on a stable heat resistant surface, never leave it unattended, keep it beyond the reach of children and pets, and never let the water bowl run completely dry while lit. Cleaning is easiest while the bowl is slightly warm, with a soft cloth and warm water. Ceramic and resin designs are both available across the collection.
