Balinese Garden Parasols

A Balinese parasol does not behave like an ordinary garden umbrella. It is a piece of craft, handmade in Bali with carved wooden poles and canopies in cotton and canvas, the kind of object that turns a lawn into an occasion. Our parasols come in full garden sizes and smaller decorative forms, in natural tones and rich colours. Put one up for a summer gathering and guests will ask about it before they ask about anything else.

Handmade Bali Garden Umbrellas in Cotton and Canvas

Balinese parasols carry centuries of ceremonial history, as versions of these canopies have shaded temple offerings and festival processions across Bali for generations, and the craft traditions behind them remain alive in the workshops that make ours today. Each parasol is built around a carved wooden pole with an aluminium core for strength, with hand finished details and canopies in natural cotton or heavier canvas. Full garden sizes stand around 2 metres tall with generous shade coverage, while our smaller 40cm decorative parasols style a table setting, windowsill or event display beautifully. Assembly needs no tools, with pole sections that slot together in moments. British weather deserves an honest word, as these are dry weather parasols best raised for sunshine and gatherings, then stored indoors or under cover through rain and over winter, which keeps the cotton bright and the wood sound for many years. They have become favourites for garden weddings, summer parties and styled outdoor dining, and event stylists among our customers order them in pairs for entrance displays. UK Mainland delivery applies due to their size.
